Complete Premise Wiring Installations Orion specializes in the design and installation of structured, turnkey cabling installations. We emphasize modular designs that use state-of-the art materials, and free our customers from reliance on our labor for adds, moves, and station re-assignments. We strictly adhere to the various standards and specifications governing the data and voice wiring industry, including ANSI/EIA/TIA, NEC, NFPA and all state and local building codes. All installations are quoted on a firm, fixed-price basis and we spell out all costs associated with the job in advance. Only customer-mandated changes will affect the final invoice. When we are finished, the job site is left neat and clean. Our customers appreciate our providing a neat and orderly cabling appearance. Our experience has included jobs as small as a few "cable pulls" to entire buildings with hundreds of users. Specialized Data Cabling Solutions In addition to voice and data premise wiring, Orion also provides solutions for campus-type installations, requireing outside plant solutions. This includes underground, buried, and aerial cable installation. We have considerable experience in fiber optic cabling solutions, providing expert termination as well. Data solutions offered include: Ethernet 100 BaseT, 10BaseT, 10Base5, 10Base2 IBM Token Ring (4Mbs and 16Mbs) Arcnet (Coaxial and UTP) Fiber Optic backbones, Riser Systems IBM Cabling System AppleTalk (PhoneNet) FDDI ISDN RS-232C Cable Certification and Troubleshooting Many customers with cabling systems previously installed by others have come to rely on Orion for professional certification, troubleshooting or appraisal of their systems. Many problems associated with data transmission are cable-related, and Orion can provide an in-depth analysis and certification program, along with a list of recommended actions to rectify any problems found. The certification program provides one-year warranties on all certified systems. Moves, Adds and Changes to Existing Cabling Installations OCI has provided many services to customers who are not planning a relocation. These include adds, moves and changes of cabling runs, upgrades of termination components such as jacks, patch panels and voice blocks. We can also provide upgrades from Category 3 to Category 5 UTP installations by replacing the necessary components. All workmanship will comply with applicable standards. Ethernet, Arcnet and Token Ring Hardware OCI can provide Ethernet 10BaseT and 100BaseX concentrators and network interface cards, Arcnet hubs and NICs, Token Ring hubs and NICs, repeaters and various transceivers, baluns, media filters and line drivers. These are offered at discounted prices. Warranty and Maintenance Agreements OCI provides on-site maintenance for several large installations, including repair and replacement services, as well as parts and materials. Orion maintains a stock of high-mortality parts for such purposes. Many different levels of programs are available.
